Hydraulischer LIS Abbruch- und Sortiergreifer (0,7t – 28t) für GaLaBau und Recycling, 360° drehbar mit wechselbaren Verschleißmessern.

Demolition and Sorting Grapples for Excavators 0.7–28.0 t

Hydraulic demolition and sorting grapples for selective demolition, recycling and material handling with excavators from 0.7 to 28.0 t.

All LIS® grapples are equipped with a 360° slew ring rotation system, Danfoss® hydraulic motor, HB400 shells and HB400 reversible cutting edges.

  • Rotation: continuous 360° rotation with slew ring
  • Mounting: supplied with neutral mounting plate
  • Application: demolition, sorting, recycling and material handling

Applications and operating areas

LIS® demolition and sorting grapples are designed for structured workflows in demolition and recycling environments. They are suitable for controlled gripping, sorting, separating and handling of mineral and mixed materials.

  • Selective demolition of masonry and concrete
  • Sorting and separating construction debris and recyclable materials
  • Handling natural stone, boulders and mixed material
  • Recycling and loading operations with controlled gripping movement

Not intended for ramming, pulling, impact or lifting operations, or for use in water.

Slew ring rotation system for demolition and sorting grapples

All LIS® demolition and sorting grapples are equipped with a slew ring rotation system.

Compared to compact rotator designs, this construction is intended for higher loads and structured demolition, sorting and loading applications. Power transmission is achieved through a hydraulically driven gear ring system.

This makes the technical difference to simple rotator designs easier to identify at product level. This is especially relevant when grapples appear similar visually but differ in construction, weight and load range.

Hydraulic requirements and performance ranges

The series covers compact mini excavators up to powerful crawler and wheeled excavators. Selection depends on machine weight, working pressure, oil flow and the available hydraulic system.

Compact and standard segment

  • Machine range: mini excavators and mid-size excavators
  • Open/close working pressure: model-dependent up to 220 bar
  • Rotation pressure: model-dependent up to 120 bar

Performance segment for heavy applications

  • Machine range: larger wheeled and crawler excavators
  • Open/close working pressure: model-dependent up to 320 bar
  • Rotation pressure: model-dependent up to 160 bar

Important technical note: Depending on the model, the rotation circuit must be designed for a maximum pressure of 120 bar or 160 bar. Pressure relief protection is required to prevent damage to the rotation motor. Hydraulic oil operating range: 20–80 °C.

Construction and wear equipment

LIS® grapples are designed for continuous construction site use with changing materials and controlled gripping movements.

  • Danfoss® hydraulic motor for continuous 360° rotation
  • Grapple shells made of HB400
  • Replaceable HB400 reversible cutting edges
  • Reversible cutting edges usable on both sides
  • Cutting edges with end stop function
  • Slew ring rotation system
  • Neutral mounting plate

Matching wear and service components can be found under Demolition & Sorting Grapple Spare Parts.

Mounting and quick coupler systems

The grapple is supplied with a neutral mounting plate. The final mounting interface is configured by the customer or on a project-specific basis.

Depending on the adapter solution, MS, CW and OQ systems are commonly used in the market. The adapter interface must be selected according to machine weight, breakout forces and operating profile.

  • MS systems: MS01, MS03, MS08, MS10, MS21, MS25
  • CW systems: CW05, CW10, CW20, CW30, CW40
  • OQ systems: OQ45, OQ65, OQ70/55

Maintenance and operating requirements

  • Lubricate all grease points at least every 8 operating hours
  • Check hydraulic hoses and bolted connections regularly
  • Inspect reversible cutting edges before operation
  • Keep the hydraulic system clean and monitor filter condition

Insufficient lubrication can increase wear on the slew ring, pins and bushings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the matching mounting bracket included?

No. The grapple is supplied with a neutral mounting plate. The final mounting interface is configured on a project-specific basis.

Why is pressure limitation important for rotation?

Depending on the model, the rotation function is designed for a maximum pressure of 120 bar or 160 bar. Without pressure relief, damage to the rotation motor may occur.

Which grapple class fits my excavator?

Up to 9.0 t, the compact segment is generally used. From 10.0 t upward, grapples for larger excavator classes are used. Machine weight, oil flow and system pressure are decisive.
