System Lines in the Market: Lehnhoff® System and Lehnhoff® F-System
This category covers parts suitable for two common system lines often named separately in the market:
-
Lehnhoff® System (e.g. comparison numbers around 301B / 301C)
-
Lehnhoff® F-System (e.g. comparison numbers 400F / 411B / 404F)
Machine weight classes are not a reliable identifier across the market. For correct ordering, the comparison number and the geometry of the old part are decisive – helping to avoid incorrect orders.
Components in the Tooth System: Tooth, Adapter, Locking Part
A Lehnhoff®-compatible setup works as a three-part assembly:
-
Excavator tooth / tooth cap: wear part in ground contact
-
Weld-on adapter sleeve / adapter: welded to the bucket; carries the tooth and transfers forces
-
Locking component: secures the tooth in the adapter (e.g. screw lock, locking plate)
Wear on the locking part or adapter directly affects the fit of the tooth cap.
Comparison Numbers Used in Practice
Workshop identification is typically done via comparison numbers. This category includes parts related to, for example:
Teeth / tooth caps: 301B, 400F, 411B, 404F, 300BK
Adapters / weld-on sleeves: 301C (for 301B), 411C (for 400F / 411B), SX04 (for 404F)
Locking parts: 1005, 1012, 11S (plus further market-used comparison references depending on version)
Always verify against the product details and the bucket configuration.
Workshop Notes: Maintaining Fit and Preventing Secondary Wear
Play under load
If there is noticeable play between tooth cap and adapter, load transfer becomes point-loaded rather than surface-distributed, accelerating seat wear and repeated loosening.
Locking component condition
Deformed or worn locking parts reduce retention. If loosening repeats, inspect the complete seating area (tooth, lock, adapter).
Check adapter seating
If play remains despite a new tooth and correct locking part, the adapter seat/contact surfaces are typically worn.
Weld area and cutting edge
Weld execution and cutting edge condition influence overall stability. If required, check the cutting edge:
