Technical Specification: Class LK8

This weight class is part of our Excavator Digging Buckets category and designed for standard heavy construction machines from approx. 18 to 25 tonnes (typical models: CAT 320, Volvo EC220, Liebherr R920/922). The buckets of class LK8 offer a significant material upgrade to withstand the high breakout forces of this machine class permanently. Available cutting widths: 600 mm to 1600 mm (Volume depending on width and geometry approx. 600 to 1500 liters acc. to SAE).

Material & Construction (40 mm Edge)

Designed for high service life in hard construction use, we rely on massive material thicknesses and additional wear protection:

• Cutting edge: Dimension 300 × 40 mm made of HB500.

• Side cutters: 25 mm thick made of HB400.

• Bottom wear strips: 6 pieces each 100×15 mm made of HB500 (on standard widths).

• Flank protection: Additional 10 mm HB400 strips on the side parts.

• Body: S355 quality steel with continuous 12 mm floor.

• Warranty: Includes 12 months or 1500 operating hours*.

Individual Mounts from Stock

We combine industrial manufacturing quality with high flexibility. Since we stock the bucket bodies, we manufacture the matching mount for your system only upon order (final assembly). This enables short delivery times for various systems:

• Lehnhoff: MS21 (mechanical/hydraulic)

• OilQuick: OQ70, OQ70/55

• Verachtert: CW30, CW40

Tooth System: ESCO Ultralok®

In the LK8 class, we use the ESCO Ultralok® System as standard. The integrated locking system allows for hammerless tooth changing directly on the job site – an important safety factor. Depending on bucket width, soil class, and customer configuration, sizes U30 or U35 are used. Available shapes: Standard, Rock Chisel, or Twin Pick.

Extended Working Range with Tilt Couplers

When used with a tilt coupler (tilt quick coupler), a digging bucket offers significantly greater flexibility. The additional tilt movement allows for precise excavation and profiling without frequent repositioning of the carrier machine.
