Ecofil Filterelemente

Filter Elements for Offline Filtration

Filter elements are installed inside the offline filter housing and perform the actual filtration of hydraulic oil.

Size, element series, media type and housing compatibility must match the existing assembly. Filter elements do not replace housings or complete offline filtration units.

The media type determines whether solid contaminants are retained or water is removed from the hydraulic oil.

Filter elements in offline filtration systems

  • Particle filtration: removal of solid contaminants from hydraulic oil
  • Water removal: elements designed to absorb free water
  • Pre-filtration: upstream elements for defined applications
  • Sizes: matched to housing series and existing offline assemblies

Filter elements are wear parts within offline filtration systems and follow the structure of the installed housing and assembly.

Size and element series

The element size defines which filter element fits into the installed offline filter housing.

If size or element series do not match, the element cannot be properly installed or integrated into the system.

Media type and filtration function

Offline filter elements are designed for specific tasks such as particle removal, water absorption or pre-filtration.

The correct selection depends on the contamination type present in the hydraulic oil and the required function within the system.

Fitment to the offline filter housing

Filter element and housing must match in size, connection and design.

If the fitment is incorrect, the element will not seat properly or the unit will not seal correctly.

Typical mismatches in practice

  • Size: element does not fit the installed housing
  • Element series: incorrect type for the assembly
  • Media type: particle and water removal functions mixed up
  • Function: pre-filter and main element incorrectly assigned
  • Fitment: element does not seat or seal correctly

Mismatches become visible during installation or operation – the element does not fit correctly or the filtration does not achieve the intended performance.
