Teeth, Tooth Adapter and Retainer suitable for Bofors B-Lock B1
The LIS® range suitable for Bofors B-Lock B1 includes two excavator tooth designs, one loader tooth, one clamshell tooth, one tooth adapter and the corresponding retainer. Reference number, product type and the existing adapter interface must be checked together when selecting the correct component.

Four tooth designs for Bofors B-Lock B1
Four tooth designs are confirmed for size B1:
- Excavator tooth: reference number 031 101, also 31101
- Excavator tooth: reference number 031 104, also 31104
- Loader tooth: reference number 031 102, also 31102
- Clamshell tooth: reference number 031 103, also 31103
The confirmed B1 combination also includes the tooth adapter 031 004, also 31004, and the retainer 031 201, also 31201. All four teeth are assigned to these system components. Sharing the same system size does not make the different tooth designs interchangeable. Product type, reference number and the existing adapter interface must match.
Compare the tooth adapter and retainer
The tooth adapter 031 004, also 31004, is a weld-on adapter for cutting-edge thicknesses from 30 to 40 mm. Its confirmed approximate dimensions are 162 × 75 mm. The retainer 031 201, also 31201, measures approximately 73 × 30.5 mm.
These dimensions help when comparing the replacement part with the existing component. They do not replace a check of the adapter and retention geometry. A similar tooth shape or matching size designation alone does not confirm a suitable B1 combination.
Check tooth movement and adapter wear
If the fitted tooth has excessive play, inspect the adapter nose, contact surfaces and retainer area. A new retainer cannot compensate for a worn or deformed adapter interface.
Before fitting a replacement tooth, check the tooth adapter and retainer for wear, chipping and deformation. Damaged or deformed retainers should not be reused.
Do not select B1 by machine model
B1 identifies a size within the Bofors B-Lock tooth system. It is not a fixed machine or operating-weight class. Machine make, model and operating weight do not confirm either the existing B1 adapter or the required tooth design.
Technical identification is based on the reference number of the removed component, the product type, the adapter interface and the specified retainer. The existing cutting-edge thickness must also be checked when selecting the tooth adapter.
Distinguish B1 from other Bofors systems
Sizes B0 and B2 to B5 use their own size-specific adapter and retention geometries. An overview of the available sizes is provided under Bofors B-Lock Tooth System.
The separately listed Bofors PIN-Type Torpedo teeth and roll pins do not belong to the B-Lock B1 system. Components from the two systems must not be treated as interchangeable.
