Selection by assembly, reference number and machine
For undercarriage parts, the affected assembly is the starting point. The general machine designation alone is often not sufficient for technical identification. The relevant checks include reference number, machine manufacturer, machine model, version, serial number, undercarriage version, mounting position and existing component dimensions.
The LIS® undercarriage filter supports identification by manufacturer, model, version and serial number. If the installed version is unclear, existing reference numbers, product data and the removed component should be compared together.
Track chains, track shoes and rubber pads
For the track chain area, the main component groups are complete track chains, track chains, track shoes and rubber pads. Identification is based on track version, pitch, width, track shoe profile, bolt pattern, fastening type and installed undercarriage configuration.
On steel-track undercarriages, track chain, track shoe, end pin and fastening parts must match as a system. For rubber pads, width, pitch, hole pattern, pad geometry and fastening type must match the installed track. On undercarriages with rubber tracks, machine model, track size and installed undercarriage version should be checked together.
Rollers, idlers, sprockets and tensioning system
Track rollers, carrier rollers, idlers, sprockets and track adjusters should be identified by reference number, mounting position, track frame, fastening, mounting interface, component dimensions and installed version.
If track movement is unusual, roller wear is one-sided or track tension is lost repeatedly, the affected assembly should be checked together with adjacent undercarriage parts. Depending on the damage pattern, this may include the idler, track adjuster, rollers, sprocket, track and track frame.
End pins, bolts and fastening parts
End pins and accessories as well as bolts and nuts are identified by the actual connection on the undercarriage. Key criteria are reference number, track version, track shoe, segment, end link, thread, length, head type, nut type and component position.
For track shoe fastening, segment connections and end link bolts, bolt, nut, contact surface and existing bolt pattern should be checked together. Strength class, DIN specification or surface finish are technical data of the specific article and must not be transferred to other undercarriage connections without verification.
Checking undercarriage parts as a system
Reliable spare parts identification is based on comparing machine, assembly, reference number, mounting position and installed version. If several undercarriage parts show wear or irregularities at the same time, the affected assembly should be assessed together with adjacent components rather than as a single isolated part.
