Bolt-On Cutting Edges Suitable for Komatsu®
Reference number, component type and mounting geometry determine the correct assignment of bolt-on cutting edges suitable for Komatsu®. The current LIS® range includes bolt-on cutting edges for wheel loader buckets as well as cutting edges and end bits for dozer blades.
- Component types: bolt-on cutting edges, dozer cutting edges and dozer end bits
- Machine types: wheel loaders and dozers
- Identification: reference number, dimensions, complete bolt pattern, installation position and fasteners

Identifying cutting edges suitable for Komatsu®
The component actually fitted to the bucket or dozer blade is the basis for identification. The machine model and series help narrow down the options, but they do not confirm a specific version. Reference number, component type, dimensions and bolt pattern must be checked together.
Check the reference number on the component
The reference number is usually the quickest route to the correct replacement part. It should be checked directly on the installed component, in the technical documentation or against confirmed replacement-part data. The complete character sequence and the corresponding component type must match. A version written without hyphens or spaces may only be treated as the same reference when its identity has been confirmed.
Even a small difference can indicate another component type, machine series or installation position. A partially matching reference number is not sufficient for identification.
Bolt-on cutting edges for Komatsu® wheel loaders
Wheel loader buckets may be fitted with a single cutting edge or with a cutting edge assembled from several bolted blade sections. The components are mounted to a suitably designed base edge or mounting surface. Length, width, thickness, bolt pattern and plow bolt size depend on the bucket and cutting-edge design.
The machine series helps with the initial selection. The final match depends on the reference number of the installed cutting edge and the mounting geometry of the bucket.
Cutting edges for Komatsu® dozers
Dozer cutting edges form the bolted working edge on suitably designed blades. Depending on the blade design, the cutting edge may consist of several individual sections. The installation position alone does not define the exact component type.
A cutting edge fitted in the centre section of the blade is therefore not automatically a centre cutting edge. The confirmed classification of the relevant reference remains decisive.
Dozer end bits and outer cutting-edge components
Dozer end bits are fitted to the outer sections of a cutting-edge system. In technical documentation, corresponding components may also be described as corner components or end bits. These terms do not automatically apply to every cutting edge mounted at the outer end of a blade.
Reference number, dimensions, bolt pattern and installation position must match. Where references are listed as pairs, the correct version for the left-hand or right-hand side of the blade must also be confirmed.
Confirm the installation position
Left-hand and right-hand end bits may have different bolt patterns or mounting geometries despite a similar outer shape. The required side must be confirmed from the installed component or from an unambiguous technical assignment. A product image alone is not sufficient.
Compare dimensions and bolt pattern
Length, width and thickness are required for a technical comparison. The bolt pattern includes the number, position and diameter of the holes as well as the hole spacing and end distances. Identical outer dimensions do not automatically mean that two cutting edges are interchangeable.
The plow bolt size must also match the existing holes. The required bolt length depends on the total clamping thickness of the joint.
Older or repaired attachments
On older machines, repaired buckets or modified dozer blades, the installed cutting edge may differ from the original configuration. In such cases, the component actually fitted or an unambiguous technical drawing of the existing mounting arrangement is decisive.
Technical specifications apply to the individual product
Material, hardness, heat treatment, dimensions and other technical values are product-specific. Information from a supplier range or from a visually similar cutting edge must not be transferred to another LIS® product.
Select motor grader cutting edges separately
Cutting edges and end bits for Komatsu® motor graders are not part of the wheel loader and dozer cutting-edge range covered here. Relevant versions are listed under Grader Blades for Motor Graders.
Other cutting edges and fasteners
Universal bolt-on cutting edges with 6-inch hole spacing are available under 6 Inch Bolt-On Cutting Edges. Manufacturer-specific cutting edges are also listed under CAT Cutting Edges, Volvo Cutting Edges and Liebherr Cutting Edges.
Matching plow bolts and nuts are available under Bolts and Nuts. The parent category Edges and Profiles contains further cutting edges and wear profiles.
Lifetime breakage guarantee for LIS® cutting tools
Lifetime breakage guarantee: Products in this category that are expressly identified as LIS® cutting tools are covered by the lifetime breakage guarantee. Coverage is limited to material and manufacturing defects. Normal wear caused by operating conditions is excluded. Bolts, nuts, fasteners, other accessories and genuine products from other manufacturers are not covered. Further information is available in the LIS® warranty terms.
