Assign 450 mm rubber tracks by size group and undercarriage

450 mm rubber tracks cover several technical size groups. In the LIS® range, variants include 100 mm pitch, 81 / 81.5 mm pitch, 83.5 mm pitch, 76 mm pitch, 71 mm pitch and further article-specific versions.

Existing track marking, machine model, undercarriage variant and the technical size data in the article are used together for assignment. With the same track width, pitch, number of links, inner guide and version may indicate different undercarriage geometries.

LIS® size data and market-standard notation

LIS® articles are often displayed in the shop in the order width, number of links and pitch. An article such as 450/80/76K corresponds to the market-standard notation 450x76x80K, meaning width, pitch and number of links. Accordingly, 450/74/83.5K may be searched in the market as 450x83.5x74K or 450x83,5x74K.

This different order of notation must be considered during identification. The decisive factor is not the order of the size data, but the match between width, pitch, number of links, version and the existing undercarriage guidance.

Check 81 and 81.5 mm groups with N and W versions

For 450 mm rubber tracks, size groups with 81 mm and 81.5 mm pitch are available with several numbers of links. Examples include 450/72/81N, 450/72/81W, 450/74/81N, 450/74/81W, 450/76/81N, 450/76/81W, 450/78/81N, 450/78/81W, 450/80/81W, 450/82/81N and 450/86/81N.

N and W versions must not be matched by width or machine designation alone. Inner guide, number of links and undercarriage geometry must correspond with the existing track and the article data in the LIS® shop.

Match 83.5 mm and 76 mm groups by article

Size groups with 83.5 mm pitch appear at 450 mm, including 450/72/83.5K, 450/74/83.5K, 450/74/83.5Y and 450/76/83.5K. In the market, these variants are often visible through notations such as 450x83.5x74K or 450x83,5x74K.

Size groups with 76 mm pitch, for example 450/80/76K, 450/82/76SRT or 450/84/76K, must also be checked separately. Version, track marking, sprocket engagement and guide geometry determine the correct assignment.

Check further 450 mm size groups

Further 450 mm size groups in the LIS® range include the 71 W group with variants such as 450/80/71W, 450/82/71W, 450/84/71W, 450/86/71W and 450/88/71W. These variants differ by the number of links and must correspond with the existing undercarriage length.

Further technical lines include 450/50/100SRT, 450/52/100SRT, 450/58/90SRT, 450/76/90SRT, 450/74/110SRT, 450/36/163K and 450/38/163K. For B, BT and other article-specific markings, assignment is based on article data, track marking and machine assignment.

Match machine model and manufacturer environment

Depending on the article assignment, 450 mm rubber tracks are used on excavators, compact track loaders and compact tracked machines from different manufacturers. Relevant manufacturer environments may include Kubota, Caterpillar/CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, JCB, Hitachi, Takeuchi, Bobcat or Wacker Neuson.

The machine assignment shown in the LIS® shop is the decisive article assignment. Matching track marking, size group and undercarriage variant helps to clearly identify the suitable 450 mm rubber track for the existing undercarriage.

Include track marking and undercarriage components

If the marking on the existing rubber track is still readable, the complete designation should be compared with the technical product data. Width, pitch, number of links and track version must all match. For 450 mm rubber tracks, the width alone is not sufficient for reliable identification because several size and track-version groups exist.

If the marking is no longer completely legible, width and pitch must be measured individually, the inner links counted and the track version or inner guide geometry identified. The machine model, series, year of manufacture and undercarriage variant must also be checked. If identification is unclear, the drive sprockets, idlers, track rollers and track adjusters should also be included in the assessment.

The values may be displayed in different orders depending on the product designation, data source or marking on the track. The individual values and the complete technical combination are decisive, not the order in which they are written.

450 mm rubber tracks, excavator tracks and rubber crawler tracks

Depending on market terminology, 450 mm rubber tracks may also be referred to as 450 mm excavator tracks, rubber crawler tracks, rubber tracks for excavators or rubber tracks for compact track loaders. This category covers rubber tracks for machines with rubber-track undercarriages, not steel tracks.

If a steel-track undercarriage is required instead of a rubber track, the relevant undercarriage categories are track chains, complete track chains, track shoes or rubber pads and rubber plates, depending on the required component.

Further rubber track widths

LIS® 450 mm rubber tracks are used in OEM quality. If the existing track has a different width, the main category rubber tracks leads to further widths from 150 to 900 mm. Common technical entry points also include 400 mm rubber tracks, 420 mm rubber tracks, 485 mm rubber tracks and 500 mm rubber tracks.
