LIS® Replacement Parts for the CAT® J800 Tooth System

The ultimate heavy-duty tooth system for large mining equipment with an operating weight of over 200 tons.
The J800 system is the largest and most massive design of the entire CAT® J-Series. It is uncompromisingly engineered for extreme rock and mining applications where maximum service life.

LIS® supplies system-compliant J800 components for professional mining use.

  • Typical Machine Class: Large equipment in the mining and quarrying sector with an operating weight of over 200 t (e.g., CAT 6030, 6040, 994, 995)
  • Locking Mechanism: Massive side-pin locking (often designed as a vertical pin/retainer setup) with a huge Ø 35 mm pin
  • Warranty: Lifetime breakage warranty* on all LIS® teeth and adapters

System Differentiation: The J800 Size

The J800 size represents the absolute top end of the scale in the J-System. The components (individual tooth caps can weigh over 100 kg) are structurally designed to absorb the unimaginable breakout forces of mining giants in massive rock.

Tooth tips, adapters, and locking parts are exclusively compatible within the J800 size.

Technical Identification: Is it really J800?

In the extreme mining sector, flawless spare parts allocation is a safety-critical survival issue for man and machine. Use these reference values on the old part:

  • 1. Typical J800 Part Numbers (Cast Numbers):
Common reference numbers for J800 tooth points end in "...800" or "...802" (e.g., the gigantic rock loader tooth 135-9800 or the excavator tooth 6I-8802).
  • 2. Adapter Nose Dimension (Inch Rule):
As a technical guide, the thickness of the adapter nose for the J800 size is exactly 8.0 inches (approx. 203 mm).
  • 3. Dimensions of J800 Locking Elements:
The locking pins (e.g., reference number 134-1808) have a massive diameter of Ø approx. 35.0 mm and are designed for an absolutely play-free fit under extreme loads.

Workshop Hint: Operational Safety for Large Equipment over 200 t

In the weight class of the J800 system, every unplanned machine downtime is extremely costly. Even worse: If a bucket tooth weighing over 100 kg breaks off at the quarry face due to a fatigued locking pin and gets into the crusher plant, it causes immediate millions in damage. Important workshop rule: Extreme precision is required when installing the J800 system (especially with the frequently used vertical pin/retainer lock). Locking elements (pins & retainers) must never be reused. A fatigued retainer loses its tension and jeopardizes the integrity of the entire operation.

Tooth Shapes and Adapters for Extreme Mining

The J800 tooth system offers uncompromising wear reserves for heavy-duty use. LIS® primarily carries the following profiles:

  • Rock Loader (e.g., 135-9800): Specific profile for the heaviest wheel loader buckets (e.g., CAT 994) at the quarry face in open-pit mining.
  • Rock Chisel (RC): Massively reinforced for direct rock excavation and highly abrasive conditions on huge mining excavators.
  • Heavy Duty Penetration: Sharp and extremely reinforced profiles for highly compacted, rocky materials.

To safely absorb the unimaginable breakout forces, LIS® carries massive heavy-duty weld-on adapters in the J800 segment, designed for the highest shock and continuous loads on massive bucket lip thicknesses.

System Comparison: Alternatives to the J-System

In the weight class above 200 tons, only a few highly specialized tooth systems exist worldwide. Besides the J800 system, you will find these alternatives at LIS®:

What you should check before ordering

To avoid fatal machine damage or crusher failures, please verify the following points:

  • Is the stamp "J800" or a known part number (e.g., 135-9800) legible on the old part?
  • Is the adapter nose approx. 203 mm (8.0 inches) thick?
  • Is the diameter of the pin approx. Ø 35 mm?
  • Have you mandatorily added completely new locking elements (heavy-duty pin & retainer) to your cart?

Since the J800 system involves highly specialized mining components, the LIS® technical sales team is always at your disposal for project inquiries and demand planning.
