System architecture: integrated locking
Ultralok® is engineered as a two-part tooth system:
Tooth point (Point)
The locking mechanism is integrated into the tooth point. Separate locking pins or rubber retainers are not part of the system design.
Weld-on adapter
The adapter is permanently welded to the bucket and provides the positive-fit base for the tooth point.
Change-out is performed using a dedicated pry tool. Impact tools are not required by system design.

U-series size structure
The system is divided into fixed performance sizes:
U20 · U25 · U30 · U35 · U40 · U45 · U55 · U60
Tooth point and adapter must match the same U size. Identification is based on the stamped marking on the existing component or the documented system assignment.

Tooth shapes in the Ultralok® system
Geometry depends on material and application (availability depends on U size):
-
S (Standard) – general-purpose earthmoving
-
C (Chisel) – balanced penetration
-
P / AP (Pick) – higher penetration
-
F (Flare) – wider loader/grading geometry
-
H (Heavy Duty) – increased wear volume
-
R (Rock) – short rock style
-
T (Twin / Twin Tiger) – twin tip, often for corner positions
Selection is based on ground conditions and the intended application focus.
Adapter and welding concepts
Depending on bucket design, different adapter concepts are used:
-
Single strap – flush integration into the cutting edge
-
Double strap – top and bottom wrap for increased stability
Workshop note:
Inspect the adapter bearing surfaces during every tooth change. Worn adapters affect the fit of the tooth point.

Service tools
Ultralok® uses size-specific service tools, especially pry tools for removal and installation.
