LIS® Warranty Conditions & Guarantees
LIS® spare parts
LIS® grants a full functional warranty for spare parts (filters, pins, seals, etc.) within the first 6 months.
LIS® undercarriage parts
LIS® provides a warranty of 12 months for undercarriage parts, up to a maximum of 1500 operating hours.
LIS® rubber tracks (excavators)
For rubber tracks up to 485 mm width, LIS® generally provides a warranty of 18 months, up to a maximum of 1500 operating hours.
For rubber tracks from 500 mm width, LIS® generally provides a warranty of 18 months, up to a maximum of 1000 operating hours.
LIS® rubber tracks (dumpers)
For rubber tracks for dumpers, LIS® generally provides a warranty of 12 months, up to a maximum of 1000 operating hours.
A prerequisite is machine operation on soft ground.
In the event of a claim, the following regulation applies:
- a. 0–250 operating hours: 100% warranty entitlement
- b. 251–500 operating hours: 75% warranty entitlement
- c. 501–750 operating hours: 50% warranty entitlement
- d. 751–1000 operating hours: 25% warranty entitlement
LIS® rubber pads
LIS® provides a warranty for rubber pads of 12 months or 1000 operating hours from the installation date.
LIS® cutting tools
Cutting tools (teeth, adapters, blades, etc.) have a lifetime breakage warranty at LIS®.
The warranty is limited to material and manufacturing defects, but does not cover normal wear caused by operating conditions.
LIS® attachments (excavator buckets, hydraulic hammers, demolition and sorting grabs)
LIS® attachments have a warranty of 12 months or 1500 hours from the delivery date.
The warranty includes repair or replacement of parts required for proper operation of the equipment that are proven to have material, manufacturing or assembly defects.
- If the equipment has a defect based on materials, manufacturing or assembly that has been acknowledged in writing by LIS, LIS may, at its discretion, settle the claim by refund, repair or replacement.
- Shipping costs, except in cases expressly approved by LIS, are borne by the buyer.
- All replaced parts to which the claim relates remain the property of LIS.
- LIS accepts no responsibility for consequential damages or production downtime.
- A warranty claim can only be accepted if reported immediately after the damage is detected.
- LIS reserves the right to inspect the claimed parts. Upon request, these must be sent to LIS or an agreed address (service point).
The warranty becomes void in case of
- Repairs carried out by customer personnel or workshops without prior approval from LIS.
- Faults due to incorrect connections or errors in use.
- Damage due to missing or inadequate maintenance, improper use, or transport damage.
- Damage to hoses/lines or quick coupler connections due to missing maintenance or excessive wear.
- Use of non-original parts for operation.
- Exceeding the permissible load limit according to technical specifications.
The warranty does not cover the following parts
- (Hydraulic hammer:) seals, hoses, pressure gauges, other measuring devices, nitrogen filling devices, vibration dampers, bushing and tie rod for chisel retention, other tools
The warranty becomes void if the hydraulic circuit is not correct (hammers, grabs), e.g.
- Incorrect calibration of the hydraulic circuit (carrier machine), wrong pressures
- Oil temperature above 80°C
- Unfiltered or contaminated oil
The buyer must return the product either to the nearest LIS® dealer or to the LIS® central warehouse, with the customer bearing the transport costs. After inspection, LIS® will repair, replace or credit the product. Further claims for compensation for other damages, in particular consequential damages and damages arising from breach of ancillary contractual obligations, are excluded.
