Designed for massive adapter constructions with documented cutting edge thicknesses up to 70 mm – adapter dependent, potentially beyond.

System Definition U60
The U60 system size defines the engineered interface between tooth and adapter in the upper heavy-duty segment.
Typical application range:
Crawler excavators and large wheel loaders above approx. 70 tonnes machine class.
Note:
Machine class serves exclusively as a reference value. The decisive factor is the stamped system size “U60” on the component.
The locking mechanism is integrated into the tooth. Separate retaining pins are not required by design.
Cutting Edge and Lip Thickness within the U60 System
U60 adapters are designed for massive cutting edges Approx:
60 mm cutting edge (e.g. adapter series 3811A-U60)
70 mm cutting edge (e.g. adapter series 3858B-U60)
Depending on the adapter series, reinforced variants beyond these dimensions may be available.
Selection is always adapter dependent.

These designs feature reinforced underside geometries to protect the bucket floor in highly abrasive applications.
Adapters with Wear Cap (W-Series)
Within the U60 system, adapter variants with W suffix are available.
These adapters are designed for the use of separate wear caps (e.g. WCU60).
The wear cap protects the upper adapter leg against direct wear and reduces repair effort in mining operation.
Repair Solution: Weld-on Nose (WN-U60)
The WN-U60 article is a weld-on nose for repair purposes.
If the adapter nose is worn, the nose can be replaced without removing the complete adapter from the bucket.
This solution reduces downtime in heavy-duty operation.

U55 – for approx. 45–70t machines
U60 – from approx. 70t machines and above
Selection is determined exclusively by the stamped system size.
