Baggerzähne Flachzähne für Minibagger von LIS Germany

LIS® Flat Teeth for Excavators (Bolt-On & Weld-On)

LIS® flat teeth are wide-profile wear teeth for direct mounting on excavator and compact loader bucket cutting edges.
They are bolted or welded and do not require an adapter system.

Designed for grading, trench cleaning and controlled material handling.
Includes lifetime breakage warranty* on all LIS® teeth.

Technical Design & Mounting Types

LIS® flat teeth are available as:

  • Bolt-on teeth with defined hole spacing (e.g. 40 mm, 59 mm)

  • Slotted-hole versions (e.g. 40–45 mm) for minor tolerance compensation

  • Weld-on teeth without hole pattern for permanent attachment

Manufactured from highly wear-resistant cast steel according to LIS® quality standards.

The correct version is selected based on the mounting geometry of the bucket cutting edge.

Selection Criteria & Correct Measuring

Selection is dimension-based rather than machine-model-based.

Step 1: Measure hole spacing
Measure center-to-center between both mounting holes.

Step 2: Verify bore diameter
The bore must match the bolt diameter used (e.g. 13 mm or 17 mm).

Step 3: Assess the condition of the cutting edge
If the cutting edge is heavily worn, deformed or the hole pattern is elongated, replacement of the edge should be considered before installing new teeth.

Slotted-hole versions compensate minor manufacturing tolerances but do not replace worn or damaged mounting holes.

System Differentiation & Application Logic

Flat teeth are direct-mount wear parts without adapters or retaining systems.

Their wide cutting geometry is structurally designed for surface work rather than penetration.

Typical applications include:

  • Surface grading

  • Fine profiling

  • Trench cleaning

  • Material distribution (sand, gravel, soil)

Not intended for:

  • Heavy rock applications

  • High-penetration ripping operations

  • Adapter-based tooth systems with pins or retainers

For adapter-based systems see:

For pointed direct-mount alternatives see:

Terminology: Flat Tooth / Spade Tooth

The term “spade tooth” is sometimes used in the market as a synonym for flat teeth.
It refers to a wide-profile direct-mount tooth without an adapter system, featuring a flat, blade-like cutting geometry.
