System Differentiation: The J700 Size
The J700 size is a dedicated system size for open-pit mining and heavy quarries. It is used exactly when shock and continuous loads push the J600 system to its structural limits.
Tooth tips, adapters, and locking parts are only compatible within the J700 size and cannot be combined with components from smaller J-systems.

Technical Identification: Is it really J700?
In the mining sector, unambiguous system identification is essential to avoid severe machine failures. Use these reference values on the old part:
- 1. Typical J700 Part Numbers (Cast Numbers):
Common reference numbers for J700 tooth points end in "...702" (e.g., the standard tooth 4T-4702 or the rock tooth 4T-4702RC). - 2. Adapter Nose Dimension (Inch Rule):
As a rough technical guide, the thickness of the adapter nose for the J700 size is approx. 7.0 inches (approx. 178 mm). - 3. Dimensions of J700 Locking Elements:
The J700 locking pin (reference number 9U-9616) has a diameter of Ø approx. 32.0 mm and a length of approx. 196.0 mm. The corresponding retainer (4T-4707) measures approx. 64.0 mm in outer diameter.
Workshop Hint: Structural Escalation Level after J600
Enormous shock loads occur in the operating range of 100-ton machines. A frequent practical error is the attempt to merely upgrade wear-prone J600 systems with heavier tooth shapes. Important workshop rule: When J600 size components repeatedly reach their structural limits under load (sheared adapters or torn pins), the J700 size is the systemically correct escalation level. Under-dimensioning cannot be compensated for by the tooth alone.
Tooth Shapes and Adapters for Mining Applications
