Hydraulic breakers for mini excavators must match the carrier machine and its hammer hydraulic circuit. Key criteria include carrier weight, mounting system, oil flow, operating pressure, return pressure, hydraulic hose size, breaker weight and tool diameter. Insufficient oil flow reduces the impact frequency, while excessive oil flow or an unsuitable return line can increase oil temperature and cause irregular operation.

Depending on the item, versions with MS01/SW01, MS03/SW03, MS08/SW08 or without bracket are available. A version without bracket is suitable when an existing adapter solution is used or when a machine-specific mounting bracket is to be built separately.
Selection by carrier machine, hydraulics and application
For correct technical selection, the carrier weight should be checked first. The total weight of hydraulic breaker, mounting bracket and quick coupler must also be considered. A carrier machine that is too small may lose stability; a carrier machine that is too large can mechanically overload the breaker.
Hydraulic matching is equally important. Supply and return lines must be sufficiently dimensioned. Line cross-sections that are too small increase back pressure and can lead to oil overheating or irregular impacts. Before commissioning, oil flow, operating pressure, return pressure, hose connections and oil condition should be compared with the technical data of the hydraulic breaker.
Box-type design and nitrogen-assisted impact mechanism
The LIS® hydraulic breakers in this category are designed as box-type hydraulic breakers. The breaker is operated hydraulically via the oil flow of the carrier machine; the nitrogen-assisted impact mechanism supports the conversion of hydraulic energy into impact energy. Performance depends significantly on correct oil flow, suitable operating pressure and clean hydraulic oil.

Chisels, wear and workshop notes
The choice of chisel depends on the material and its breaking behaviour. Pointed and wedge-type chisels support penetration into the material, while blunt tools work through impact on hard, brittle material. Chisels, chisel bushings, front bushings, pins and seals are wear areas and should be inspected regularly.
- Lubrication: lubricate chisel and bushings regularly according to the operating manual.
- Hydraulic oil: monitor oil level, oil temperature and contamination before and during operation.
- Operation: avoid blank firing, levering with the chisel and prolonged hammering on the same point.
- Inspection: check hoses, connections, bolts, pins and visible wear areas regularly.
