Teeth, Tooth Adapters and Retainers suitable for the Bofors B-Lock Tooth System
For an existing Bofors B-Lock tooth system, the tooth, tooth adapter and retainer must match as a complete system combination. The LIS® range covers sizes B0 to B5 with excavator teeth, loader teeth, tooth adapters and retainers. B1 also includes one clamshell tooth.

Identify the Bofors B-Lock size from the existing adapter
On an existing Bofors B-Lock system, identification starts with the tooth adapter rather than the machine. The geometry of the adapter interface defines the system size and narrows the choice of tooth and retainer designs.
A legible reference number on the tooth, adapter or retainer usually leads straight to the correct component group. If no number remains legible, compare the tooth profile, adapter interface and retainer area as a set. Clear photographs of these areas are more useful for technical identification than the machine make, model or operating weight.
Distinguish B0 to B5 and the available tooth designs
B0 to B5 identify different adapter sizes within the Bofors B-Lock tooth system. They are not machine classes. A similar tooth shape or the same size designation is not enough to confirm a tooth and adapter combination.
More than one confirmed tooth design can exist within the same size. B1 includes two excavator tooth designs, one loader tooth and one clamshell tooth. These product types are not interchangeable simply because they share the same B-Lock size.
The same LIS® retainer is assigned to B3 and B4. Its size-specific reference numbers are 033 201 for B3 and 034 201 for B4. This shared retainer assignment does not make the corresponding teeth or adapters interchangeable.
Inspect the adapter and retainer before fitting a new tooth
Before fitting a new tooth, inspect the adapter nose, contact surfaces and retainer area for wear, cracks, chipping or deformation. A new tooth cannot correct a damaged or worn adapter interface.
The retainer must match both the existing retention geometry and the confirmed tooth-adapter combination. Damaged or deformed retainers should not be reused.
Do not confuse Bofors B-Lock with PIN-Type
This category applies exclusively to Bofors B-Lock. The separately listed Bofors PIN-Type Torpedo teeth and roll pins use a different adapter and retention geometry. Components from the two systems must not be treated as interchangeable.
